Isles sign depth forward Tim Wallace
The Islanders have signed depth forward Tim Wallace to a one-year, two-way deal, a team spokesperson confirmed.
The 26-year-old Notre Dame product spent the bulk of the last five seasons with the Penguins' AHL affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.
The Anchorage, AK native (6-1, 206) finished with 20 goals and 17 assists in 62 games for the baby Pens last season. He played seven games up with the big club as well.
Not exactly the splashy move Islanders fans may be hoping for, but this is the time of year to make depth signings/stock the farm system as well.
