UPDATE: Isles lead Avalanche 3-0

The Islanders ambushed Colorado for a trio of goals in the second. 6-4 defenseman Milan Jurcina tallies twice for his first multi-goal game of his NHL career.

And Josh Bailey just continues to get better, picking up a assist and scoring the team's third goal of the period, going top shelf on Anderson.

UPDATE: Isles and Avalanche scoreless after first period

Isles go 0-for-2 on the PP in the first; couple of great opportunities the first time around, but the second PP? Not so good.
