Jeremy Colliton recalled from Bridgeport
The Islanders have recalled Jeremy Colliton from Bridgeport; he will not make it in time for the team's 1:30 p.m. practice (3:30 ET) but will join the team tonight in Denver.
Colliton, who has played in 42 games for the Islanders throughout the past five seasons, has eight goals and eight assists in 32 games for the Sound Tigers this season.
The 25-year-old Blackie, Alberta native (6-2, 195) played for Rogle Angelhome of the Swedish Elite League last season.
This call-up is a good indication that Frans Nielsen's absence Thursday night (he strained his groin during Monday's game) will likely not be a one-off.
