As we'd discussed in today's editions, Tavares was by far the most deserving Islander and was appropriately recognized for his superb play this season by being one of the 36 veterans named for the Jan. 29 game in Ottawa.

John Jeasonne is covering tonight's game, so he'll have reaction from Tavares later.

As for tonight's game, Jack Capuano is sticking with what worked in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Wings, so that means Evgeni Nabokov makes his 10th straight start while Kevin Poulin sits as the backup. To be fair, Nabokov has allowed only one goal in three straight home games, though this is the Flyers, who have dominated the Isles over the last 4+ seasons.
