Kabanov "disappointed" about incident but moving on
There was no subtlety in the message sent to Kirill Kabanov today.
Kabanov --who missed the first day of rookie camp yesterday for disciplinary reasons--was punished with several rounds of sprints after practice this afternoon.
After about 10 minutes, Kabanov fell to the ice--completely gassed--and stayed there for several minutes before regaining his wind and heading to the locker room.
Kabanov paid the price for missing team physicals yesterday but didn't wish to dwell on the incident.
"I'm disappointed, but I don't really want to talk about it," he said.
Even after his rigorous session, Kabanov said he was happy to be back on the ice and was looking forward to seeing game action in Boston for the rookie games this week.
"I hope I can show that I can score goals and assists, but really I just want to show that I can play and do well for the team, not just myself."
