Milan Jurcina leaves practice after tweaking hip
Another day, another defenseman down.
This time, it's Milan Jurcina. Jurcina left practice early after tweaking his right hip flexor. The Islanders hope to have him evaluated today, but will likely have to call up an extra body from Bridgeport.
Within the last week, the Islanders announced that both Mark Streit and Andrew MacDonald are done for the season with injury. Streit is still not ready to return from a serious pre-season shoulder injury; MacDonald requires surgery to repair a labral tear in his right hip.
