Nabokov out 'indefinitely' with groin injury

It's believed that Evgeni Nabokov's groin injury could keep him out as much as a month, though the official word from the team is the goaltender is out "indefinitely"  after he had a MRI exam today.

In Nabokov's situation -- he started his third straight game on Thursday before leaving just 7:55 in -- missing any time is tough with two other goaltenders around.

"After you're out, basically you have to start all over again," Nabokov said. "You always want to go out and play, and you want to have a couple games in a row and keep it going."

Now the Isles are down to two goaltenders for the immediate future, and it's a chance for either Rick DiPietro or Al Montoya to seize the job. Montoya has been dealing with some soreness in his lower body, though he said he felt fine after practice today.

Expect DiPietro to start tomorrow against the red-hot Bruins, who have won seven straight.
