NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly dismisses some Islanders speculation
In response to speculation that Charles Wang may have attempted to elicit assistance from the league given the Islanders dire financial straits, NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said in an email to Newsday:
"Totally and uncategorically untrue"
Daly also dismissed any talk of the NHL taking any controlling interest in the franchise.
