NHL names Dwayne Roloson first star
After boosting his team to three straight wins, Islanders goaltender Dwayne Roloson was named the NHL's first star of the week.
The 41-year-old netminder turned away 106 of 109 shots to record wins against Tamp Bay, New Jersey, and most recently Montreal.
"It was nothing different tonight," John Tavares said last night after Roloson's 38-save performance helped the Islanders earn a 4-1 victory over the Canadiens. "Every game he plays like that for us."
Detroit's Henrik Zetterberg and Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby also earned stars for their performances this week.
