NHLPA gives Donald Fehr endorsement
The NHL Players' Association executive board has given their endorsement to name Donald Fehr as the new executive director.
The recommendation now goes to vote with full NHLPA membership during training camp and the beginning of the regular season.
In the interim, Fehr will serve as a consultant to the PA.
"I am gratified by the Executive Board's vote, and I look forward to meeting all the PLayers at team meetings which began later this month," Fehr said in a statement released by the NHLPA today.
