Arbour earns 700th victory
Islanders coach Al Arbour became the second coach in NHL history to win 700 games in a 5-2 victory over Philadelphia at Nassau Coliseum. Arbour had a 782-577-248 career record. Ray Ferraro, Uwe Krupp and Pierre Turgeon each had a goal and an assist and goalie Mark Fitzpatrick stopped 24 of 26 shots.
