Off-day for Isles; Captain Doug Weight on IR
The Isles will not practice today. They'll be doing holiday hospital visits instead.
My apologies for omitting this yesterday, but the Islanders have finally placed captain Doug Weight on injured reserve with a back injury.
Weight, 39, has not played since November 17--a 4-2 loss to Tampa Bay at Nassau Coliseum.
