UPDATE: Final Score White 4, Blue 4

The Good: Trent Hunter scored twice in the third period to make it 4 goals in two scrimmages for the vet, DiPietro held up well, and Blake Comeau showed signs of picking up where last season left off (before the foot injury, of course.)

The Bad: After being cross-checked by Matt Moulson, Mark Streit left the ice clutching what appeared to be his left arm/shoulder. Definitely not good.

The Ugly: DiPietro's takedown of Jon Sim...the pest manages to get under even his own teammates' skin and the two show that even pre-season scrimmages can be intense.

UPDATE: White 4, Blue 2, end of 2nd period

Rob Schremp tallied on the power play at 10:54, but White reclaimed it's two-goal lead with a nifty backhander from John Tavares at 12:21.

Lots of penalties in the second period and DiPietro looked pretty sharp in dealing with all the scrambles in front.

And while coaches and fans may have been holding their breath with DiPietro's stubborn streak on display--he chased the puck almost to the left circle with time expiring in the second-- he scampered back to make a stop before sprawling on his stomach. Cringeworthy? Yes, but a save no less.

UPDATE: White 3, Blue 1, end of 1st period

With two early goals, Blake Comeau gives the White team a first -period lead. Dwayne Roloson saw the bulk of the work in the first period, although Matt Moulson scored from the slot on a nice feed from Rob Schremp down low to get the Blue team on the board.

Biggest stop for Rick DiPietro came at 16:02. when he made a nice glove save to rob Trent Hunter on a breakaway.
