The Islanders will not be bringing back Pat Bingham as head coach for the team's minor-league affiliate, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.

Bingham was promoted  once Jack Capuano assumed the interim head coach title with the Islanders when Scott Gordon was dismissed back in November. The 42-year-old Vancouver native was 24-30-11 in 65 games leading the Sound Tigers since replacing Capuano behind the bench.

His successor has not yet been named.
