In our most recent Islanders poll, we asked our readers how the Islanders should approach free agency. Here's what they thought:
If they sign Christian Ehrhoff and add a top-six forward, I'd be very happy - 20%
Spend, spend, spend. Offer big contracts to as many top players as possible - 13%
Getting Ehrhoff would be good enough. Then they can focus on adding role players - 7%
If they can't sign Ehrhoff I'll be disappointed no matter what - 2%
If they can't sign Ehrhoff they should look at other top defensemen and maybe another forward - 29%
They should play it cool and stay the course with their young players - 28%
The whole Christian Ehrhoff thing seems like it happened a while ago, doesn't it? In any case, you can see fans were hoping Garth Snow could add a couple of top players during free agency. So far, Marty Reasoner is his only signing of any significance.
Is a big move still coming? What do you think of Snow's strategy so far this summer? That's the topic of our next poll question, which you can answer here.
