Report: Coliseum may cost homeowners less
Newsday's Robert Brodsky reports that the proposed new Coliseum may cost homeowners less.
A new analysis, authored by director of the Office of Legislative Budget Review Steve Antonio, has revealed that the financing of the new facility could cost as little as $13.80 annually.
To reach that $13.80 figure, "the county would have to funnel all the money it receives in a revenue-sharing deal with the New York Islanders into reducing Nassau's general tax fund levy."
Expect more analysis and breakdowns of the financial implications of the proposed $400 million borrowing in the days leading up to the August 1 referendum. Check out Newsday's coverage for all the updates at newsday.com/coliseum.
