Still awaiting word on Nino, Wiz leading NHL defensemen

 As of early this morning, the Islanders still had not announced a decision on rookie Nino Niederreiter's status with the team. I'll provide an update as soon as I hear, but will be flying back from Montreal this morning.

With his three points--one goal, two assists-- last night, James Wisniewski is now tied for the lead in scoring among NHL defensemen, tied with Colorado's John-Michael Liles.

If he stays on pace, he'll easily surpass his career-high 30-point season last year.
