On an update for Kyle Okposo, who recently saw a shoulder specialist for an evaluation. Okposo has not played or practice since Thursday's special teams scrimmage.

We should have something concrete by this afternoon, but I've been told he will not make either of the split-squad trips tomorrow.

Although Okposo was not available for comment, Newsday's John Jeansonne spotted Okposo in the hallway and said the injured forward was not wearing a sling. Good sign? We'll see...

***Second group (Philadelphia) on the ice right now, including new additions Manny Legace, Dean McAmmond and Jed Ortmeyer.

***Travis Hamonic left the ice during the second practice session with an apparent injury and has yet to return. Hopefully nothing too serious for the young defenseman, who was sidelined for part of last season with a shoulder injury.

***Bruno Gervais is out sick today; Dustin Kohn will likely stay behind with Philly Group in case Gervais isn't feeling better tomorrow. Doug Weight (groin/hip flexor) has been skating separately from team; will not play tomorrow. Frans NIelsen (groin/hip flexor) practiced today.
