John Tavares and Mark Streit are the two Islanders present on this year's All-Star Game ballot.

Yes, the same Mark Streit that suffered a shoulder injury this preseason and has yet to play a game this season (and likely won't until at least March). I mean no disrespect to Streit, who I'm sure would be having an All-Star worthy season had he not been sidelined this September, but I find this selection puzzling.

Why not defenseman James Wisniewski instead? With a team-leading 12 points this season (2 goals, 10 assists), Wisniewski is tied for sixth among defensemen in scoring.
