Tavares would embrace playing on PK

 Had a quick chat with John Tavares after practice today to ask whether he'd embrace the opportunity to play on the PK (although he was never used on the penalty kill last season, he played with the first Orange PK group last night).

"I'd love to play on the PK," he said. "I want to be used in all situations."

Tavares said he has killed penalties before--the last time was during the World Juniors in Ottawa--and tries to stay abreast of what's going on with the unit  in meetings if the opportunity arises.

After the scrimmage, coach Scott Gordon said he will likely refrain from using Tavares on the PK for at least the beginning of the season, but may switch things up down the road and use him in certain situations.
