Travis Hamonic named WHL player of the week
Islanders prospect Travis Hamonic was named WHL player of the week after scoring two goals and adding two assists last week during the WHL playoffs.
Hamonic's performance helped boost his Brandon Wheat Kings over the Saskatoon Blades in the WHL Eastern Conference Semi-Final.
Since advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals, Brandon has split two games with the Calgary Hitmen. Game 3 is in Brandon tomorrow.
