Trent Hunter out indefinitely with Grade 3 MCL tear
Trent Hunter is out indefinitely with a Grade 3 MCL tear in his left knee.
Hunter underwent an MRI this morning on his left knee which he injured in Wednesday’s 4-3 overtime loss to Columbus. According to a team source, there doesn't seem to be any damage to the meniscus.
After scoring his first goal of the season earlier in the game, Hunter sustained the knee injury while delivering a big hit along the boards on Anton Stralman with six minutes to play in the third period.
A timetable for the 30-year-old forward is not immediately known.
