Charles Wang said that coach Scott Gordon is in the final year of his contract, and he will let the season play out before making a decision on him.
"Every contract has a last year," Wang told Newsday after his news conference. "We have to see what the season holds. We like Scott. Ultimately, it's Garth's decision."
GM Garth Snow has refused to comment on Gordon's contract status.
"You have to evaluate: Are we better off with [Gordon] or without him?" said Wang.
