Rangers C Artem Anisimov, who played as a teenager in the Yaroslavl system, heard the reports of the plane crash this morning, and said: ""I feel like – it can’t happen. I don’t want to believe it. The news says plane crash, and I feel sick... I was sitting in traffic coming here (for a workout at the MSG Training Center) and I feel sick. I know half the team...I know the staff. I grew up with some of the young guys. "

Anisimov, 23, was unaware of the status of Alexander Vasyunov, a Devils prospect, who was later confirmed dead by Devils president Lou Lamoriello.  "We grew up together. I'm going to try to call later..."
