Avery scores twice in 2nd Monday scrimmage...

                  Although the buzz here at the rink is about the Chris Drury injury,  which will shelve him for up to four weeks, there was a second scrimmage. Sean Avery scored twice, one of them his second empty-netter of camp, in a 4-1 White team win...

                Some feistiness going on among the guys who've been her before, not just the rooks. Brandon Dubinsky went high with an elbow near the glass on Michael Del Zotto, who whacked Dubi with his stick while the center was skating away and glared...Brandon Prust was doubled over after Brian Boyle jammed his left side with a crosscheck. Prust started shouting, Boyle appeared to apologize, and after the scrimmage, was yapping at Boyle again as they headed to the lockers.

             The other scorers for White were Roman Horek, and either Sam Klassen or Dale Weise. No replay here, obviously, so....Klassen's point shot went past Talbot, but Weise was in front and may have gotten a piece. Artem Anisimov scored on Henrik Lundqvist, who has been on the winning side of both his scrimmage games...

          Ethan Werek was favoring his left knee during the second half of the scrimmage, went to the bench, and wasn't on the ice again...
