Change-up: Biron has flu, Lundqvist will start; Johnson backup
So Biron will not have his chance for a third win against the Jets: He has the flu. Chad Johnson, 25, was recalled from the AHL Whale to serve as backup to Henrik Lundqvist. He knows the role, having served for 16 regular-season games after Biron broke his collarbone last Feb. 28.
In 25 games this season, Johnson has recorded a 10-8-5 record, 2.65 GAA and a .910 save percentage. He appeared in one NHL games last season, March 31, in the third period against the Islanders. He stopped 9 of 11 shots.
Ondrej Pavelec is in net for the Jets. Unless that flu is going around...
