Rangers captain Chris Drury will begin off-ice training tomorrow, but whether or not he needs a cast on his broken left index finger will be determined by visit with specialist later today.  The veteran center was wearing a splint on the  finger, which is cracked above the knuckle.

Although Drury was wearing reinforced gloves, the shot from Matt Gilroy during the morning scrimmage yesterday hit a seam as he held the stick in his left hand while bracing to block the shot.

"It's not a chip." Drury said, but not as severe as the broken right hand that  he sustained in April 2009.  He hopes to be back in two or three weeks, "four weeks at the latest," he said.  "It's not like I'm going away or they're not letting me in the building. I'm not going to miss a beat around here"
