The forward, who has played just four games since Nov. 23, agreed to go the Connecticut Whale. The Whale are headed to Philly. Coach John Tortorella had said the assignment was an option last night, as reported here at the time.

Torts also told reporters today that Brandon Dubinsky, whose right shoulder was injured on a check by Taylor Pyatt last night and did not practice today, is a game-time decision tomorrow.

Wojtek Wolski, who has played just six games all season and underwent surgery for a sports hernia, is healthy and will play against Ottawa if Dubinsky cannot go.
He skated in Dubinsky's spot w/Callahan and Richards today.
