Frolov hat trick highlights 1st NYR scrimmage

                Morning all....

                Playing with Derek Stepan and Marian Gaborik, left wing Alex Frolov scored three times---once on a penalty shot---in the first two-period scrimmage of training camp. Marc Staal, Jason Wilson and Pavel Valentenko (with a goal an assist each) in Reds' 6-4  defeat of the Green team. all caught my eye, as did Derek Stepan, who mopened the scoring at the 57 second mark.

               There's a break now before we'll have access to the first two teams who were on the ice. In the meantime, for your reading pleasure for those of you settling in to those droning NFL pregame shows, here's the lineups for the second scrimmage at around 1 PM.
