Isles 2, Rangers 1 after 1
Some quality forechecking by Isles puts them up 2-1.
Del Zotto/Girardi pairing had a tough 20. Blake Comeau scored unassisted on own rebound after DZ giveaway alone in slot at 12:49,
Brandon Dubinsky fired his own rebound past Rick DiPietro (who earlier denied a Gaborik penalty shot; Gabby's 2-for-6 lifetime) on a power play to tie the game 1:08 later. The goal was Dubinsky's third of the season, the Rangers' first PP goal, and his 14th point in 22 games vs. Isles.
But Josh Bailey, with a hustling shift, first made a great pass from behind the net before another Del Zotto/Girardi breakdown. Bailey. falling down, managed to get the puck by Lundqvist. Comeau awarded an assist on that one. So, it's 2-1. Isles have 9 shots; Rangers 12.
The forechecking started on the first shift, when Michal Rozsival blundered a couple times. Let's see if Isles can keep it up or if Rangers can counter....
