John Tortorella on Wade Redden: "He tried."
Tortorella and Redden never saw eye to eye, but that was simply a matter of Redden's abilities (or lack thereof), according to the coach.
"This had nothing to do with effort. He tried," Tortorella said. "He did everything he could. But we have some prospects and some tryouts here we wanted to take a look at... He's a good man. It was a lot for him."
