Kris Newbury recalled from Connecticut

              ...emergency callup, so a forward must be injured. One guess would be Ruslan Fedotenko, who was crushed by Braydon Coburn just 24 seconds after Feds scored to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead at 13:30 of the second period yesterday. He played just about five minutes the rest of the way.

                 Fedotenko missed 16 games in late January and almost all of February with a separated shoulder and appendectomy.  And Sean Avery played less than a minute in the third. We'll find out more later.

               Newbury, 29, has played 11 games with the Rangers since Jan. 15, with one assist and 33 PMs.  He is 16-42-58 in 67 games in the A.

              Erik Christensen is not injured; he skated with Michael Sauer, Matt Gilroy and Chris Drury at this morning's optional.
