Lindy Ruff joins Rangers’ coaching staff

The Rangers named former Sabres and Stars head coach Lindy Ruff an assistant coach, replacing Jeff Beukeboom. Ruff, who emerged as a front-runner for the position in the last few weeks, went to the Stanley Cup Finals with the Sabres in 1999 and won the Jack Adams Coach of the Year award after the 2006-2007 season.
