Live from St. Paul: Biron, Boogaard in, Prust game-time decision, Rozsival update
Martin Biron, who replaced Henrik Lundqvist at 12:27 of the second period in Colorado Friday, gets the start tonight., his sixth. Coach John Tortorella said it was a planned start, and not related to pulling Henrik Lundqvist after some shaky play last night. "No." he said. "Henrik just wasn't very good." Biron is 3-2 , with a 2.39 GAA.
Brandon Prust, who suffered a charley horse last night when his right leg hit the ice awkwardly after a check midway through the third period, is a gametime decision. Prust received some massages and Tortorella sounded hoipeful.
Derek Boogaard is in the lineup; Tortorella said the decision was made a few days ago, and not related to his homecoming here.
D Michal Rozsival, who was left behind for treatment on his shoulder and knee, and missed his sixth game tonight, received platelet-rich plasma therapy and is scheduled to skate Sunday. Tortorella ruled him out for Monday's game against Calgary but was hopeful that he will play late next week.
