The news from practice indicates that the front office of the 1-4 Rangers isn't sitting on their hands:

Goaltender Martin Biron and winger Arron Asham have been placed on waivers. Biron has allowed nine goals already this season, and Asham was a healthy scratch against St.. Louis.  They could both clear, and then a decision has to be made whether they are assigned to the AHL.

There were no callups for hartford so far today, but it's possible that could happen Tuesday. The waiver deadline is noon Tuesday.

Rick Nash, who was sent back to New York from California and missed the last two games after the high hit from Sharks D Brad Stuart apparently caused a concussion,  did not skate today.

If Biron clears and is assigned to Hartford, his NHL salary cap hit would be $375,000 ;Asham’s would be $75,000.

Possible changes:  Former Devils backup Johan Hedberg, who was in camp for a tryout. could be signed; Cam Talbot could be summoned from the AHL, J.T. Miller, who had two  goals in the preseason, could be brought up...

More coming up in a bit....
