Mike Rupp: "A little Reggie Dunlop going on..."

Wearing blue Rangers tights under his game shorts, Mike Rupp came off the ice into the visitor's dressing room, saw me grinning and dropped the Slap Shot reference:

"Got a little Reggie Dunlop going on here today..."

Paul Newman played the con man/coach Dunlop in the classic film, and naturally, the suggestion came: "Now all you need is a salad dressing."

Rupp laughed and agreed. He then confirmed that his knee, which has limited him in practice and game, had been flaring up some days, but is not serious. "Just rest and treatment. It feels alright today, I hope it stays that way tonight after the game."
