OK, at first glimpse, without seeing any numbers, thought the rugged player in red was Ruslan Fedotenko this morning at the MSG Training Center.  No numbers on jerseys.

             But yeah, it was Exelby, the 29-year-old former Thrasher who was traded to the Leafs last year for Pavel Kubina.  Exelby, at 6-1 and 215, has 548 PIM in 408 NHL games. Ex-Thrasher Todd White, whom he contacted on Friday night before today's workout, called him a heavy hitter and a crease-clearer.

           Seems like someone the Rangers could use, even as a 7th d-man.
