Morning Skate at MSG: Boyle gametime decision; no Dubinsky

Brian Boyle skated this morning for the fourth consecutive day, but said he has "no idea" whether he'll be in the lineup tonight for Game 2.  As reported yesterday, Brandon Dubinsky is out;  we saw him on crutches yesterday.

"They'll (doctors) let me know when I'm ready to play," said Boyle, who was concussed on a hit  from Senators forward Chris Neil in Game 5. "I think I'm all right...I'm new to this."

Last three skaters on ice for the Blueshirts, usually signalling scratches, were John Scott, Steve Eminger and Jeff Woywitka. If Boyle is out again, coach John Tortorella, who answered the only question at the briefing with "We win and lose as a team" and doesn't discuss lineups in the playoffs, could use Eminger upfront again or Scott.  Note: Eminger was in a red jersey like other defensemen, so was Stu Bickel, who has played forward, so we'll have to wait and see.

Word from the Caps writers is that D John Erskine is out, and will be replaced by Jeff Schultz.

Already posted some reaction from players on coach John Tortorella being one of three finlaists for the Jack Adams Awards, as voted by the NHL Broadcasters Association: Here's Marian Gaborik:  “He deserves it. When he became the coach, he gave us a system and everybody seems to be buying into it right now. He’s very demanding, he tries to squeeze the maximum out of his players and it’s seemed to work, especially this year."
