The Rangers announced their preseason schedule for this fall on Monday. It will consist of six games against three opponents, with home-and-away games against local rivals Islanders and New Jersey Devils, and, as it did last year, a home-and-away set against the Boston Bruins.

The slate begins with a home game at Madison Square Garden against the Islanders on Monday, Sept. 26, followed by a game the next night against the Bruins in Boston.

The Rangers are home against the Devils on Thursday, Sept. 29, and then face the Devils the next night in Newark.

The final two games are against Boston at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, Oct. 5, and against the Islanders on Saturday, Oct. 8, at UBS Arena. That represents a change over previous years when the Islanders would host the Rangers in Bridgeport, Connecticut, at the home arena of their AHL affiliate.

All games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
