All games in the series will be broadcast locally on MSG Network and nationally by either TNT or ESPN. ESPN has Games 1 and 4, and TNT has Games 3 and 4, with Games 5-7 to be determined at a later date. Games 1-4 will all start at 7 p.m., with the starting times for Games 5-7 to be announced.
The Rangers beat the Penguins in three of four regular season meetings this season, losing 1-0 in Pittsburgh on Feb. 26 and winning the last three games, 5-1 at the Garden March 25, 3-2 in Pittsburgh March 29 and 3-0 at the Garden April 7.
Rest before the battle
The Rangers took Saturday off and will return to practice Sunday. When they host Game 1 on Tuesday, it will be their first home playoff game since May 9, 2017 against Ottawa… Seven players were called up from the AHL Hartford Wolfpack on Saturday: Forwards Tim Gettinger and Lauri Pajuniemi, defensemen Zac Jones, Nils Lundkvist, Matthew Robertson, Jarred Tinordi and goaltender Keith Kinkaid. The Wolfpack did not make the playoffs … Chris Kreider, who had a career-high 52 goals, including 26 power play goals, three shorthanded goals and 11 game-winning goals, became the only player in NHL history to have 50 or more goals, 25 or more power play goals, three or more shorthanded goals and 10 or more game-winners in a season.
