Rangers prep for re-charged Isles
The Rangers have been practicing, meeting, resting and golfing this week. The Islanders have beaten the Wild and Lightning. Advantage?
Last Oct 11 in Nassau County, the Isles came flying out of the gates against their cross-river rivals and won 6-4. They lost the second meeting, in early December, 6-5. Some of the personnel has changed, (Richards, Rupp, Avery, Staios, etc), but the importance of the game for the 0-0-2 Rangers cannot be minimized.
Being winless in three games as they board a plane Sunday for a four-game roadie to Western Canada will be excruciating for coach John Tortorella and his troops.
More from practice later.....
