Six draft picks, including Adam Sykora, will attend Rangers' development camp
All six of the Rangers’ picks from last week’s NHL draft will be among those in attendance at the team’s Prospect Development Camp that will take place at its Greenburgh, N.Y. training facility this week.
In all, 37 players are expected to attend the camp, the first since 2019. It will run from Monday to Friday, and invitees include Brennan Othmann, the team’s first-round pick in 2021, Will Cuylle, the second-round pick in 2020, and all six 2022 draft picks – No. 2 Adam Sykora, No. 3 Bryce McConnell-Barker, No. 4 Noah Laba, No. 5A Vittorio Mancini and 5B Maxim Barbashev, and No. 6 Zakary Karpa.
Othmann, 19, captained the Flint Firebirds of the OHL last season and scored 50 goals and 97 points in 66 games. Cuylle, 20, captained the Windsor Spitfires of the OHL and scored 43 goals and 80 points in 59 games. Both likely have at least an outside shot of making the Rangers’ Opening Night roster in the fall.
