Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson, who sustained a concussion on a hit from Carl Hagelin and practiced but did not play in Game 3 yesterday, suffered a setback, according to coach Paul MacLean, and did not practice today here in Kanata.
The loss of Alfredsson could certainly have more of an impact: The team's other top forwards, Jason Spezza and Milan Michalek, haven't scored a goal in three games.
Goalie Craig Anderson was given a maintenance day.
Rangers, who lead series 2-1, are hitting the ice at 2.
