                  The last shot of the period, which the Senators dominated, was a Chris Kelly crossbar. Overall, the Senators had the territorial edge and a 10-5 advantage in shots. John Tortorella called a timeout at 4:09 to try to shake the cobwebs out of his troops, but the Sens were just quicker and sharper. The Blueshirts' first shot came at 5:02 from Derek Stepan, the best forward on ice in the first 20 minutes.
