RFA Enver Lisin did not receive qualifying offer. Confirmed, but not surprising at all. 'Ghost' roster I posted here a month ago didn't have him on it. The right wing didn't dress for 17 of last 22 games. Wonder if Lisin, 24, will be KHL-bound?

All the other RFAs of significance on the Rangers apparently will be---or have been---qualified: Marc Staal, Dan Girardi, Brandon Prust, Erik Christensen.

So with Scott Neidermayer retiring, I could see Sergei Gonchar or Anton Volchenkov or Tomas Kaberle destined for the Ducks...Best of luck to Tom Renney, the new head coach of the Oilers. His teaching style and steady hand will be good for the promising youngsters coming into their system...Nathan Horton should help the Bruins offense, for sure, but Florida needs some forwards. They will take one at either 3 or 15 at the draft. Wonder if Dale Tallon goes potential franchise G Jack Campbell and then best avail forward. Campbell plays a year in Windsor, maybe a year in minors and Vokoun (a UFA after this season) gets traded at the deadline with Clemmensen as backup....Post reporting NHLPA votes for escalator clause, bargaining agreement thru 2011-12, as expected.  So cap will be $58-mil plus...Tomas Plekanec re-signs with Montreal for a reported $30 mil over six years. As a friend just remarked: "Good year to be a free agent center."..

UPDATE: Oops, forgot about Markstrom (thanks, rangerrover on the message board), thought he was with Tampa. Too much going on today, should've double-checked. Florida will go forward or D... Maybe Tampa and Stevie Y go for Campbell?
