Standing on a corner in Glendale, Arizona....

              OK,  Jackson Browne was in Winslow, but hey, sue me, it's the West.

              Last time we accompanied your Rangers out in these parts, it poured in California for two days and was generally dreary. That's when all the Mats Sundin stuff was coming down as well.

              So far, more fortunate weatherwise---altho Denver on Sunday could be a tossup---close to 60 and sunny for my 30-mile drive on 101 to Rangers practice at the Ice Den in Scottsdale.

              Pulled into Glendale Renaissance across from jobing.com arena last night just as happy, noisy crowd was streaming out after Yotes' shootout defeat of Flames. Kudos to Don Maloney and Dave Tippett....Heard some Rangers brass were in attendance, scouting, er, observing. Will check on that later. (Relax, Petr Prucha fans, he's not coming back. Why leave?)
