Could be the final morning skate in Greenburgh this season today---the Rangers will have a morning practice at the Garden before Game 7 tomorrow.  Personally, I think the Rangers will summon up a big effort against the Caps at MSG, but will it be enough? No room for error or bad bounces in Game 7s.

And I don't have to write this AGAIN, or repeat the stats do I? It's so repetitive and been a theme throughout the playoffs: The forwards need to score more than a goal to support Henrik Lundqvist's performances. Simple. Too simple.

Here's some info from the NHL, most of which you may know, or I've reported. The last item is perhaps the most telling:

Three times the Rangers have led their series against  Washington, winning Games 1, 3 and 5. They won Game 3 in a marathon triple overtime and captured Game 5 early in overtime after tallying the game-tying goal with 7.6 seconds remaining in regulation.

Three times the Capitals have fought back against the Rangers, winning Games 2, 4 and 6. Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby improved to 6-0 with a 1.24 goals-against average and .960 save percentage following a loss in theplayoffs. Including the regular season, Holtby has gone 29 consecutive starts without suffering back-to-back defeats.

Twelve of the 13 Capitals playoff games have been decided by one goal, while the Rangers have played 10 one-goal games in their 13 playoff contests.

The Rangers and Capitals have been tied or separated by one goal for 90 percent of total playing time in their series.
