Rangers captain Chris Drury, who played just 3:16 in the first period against the Devils and 8:34 all night, (1:23 on the PK), is sidelined with a flareup of a cranky knee that has bothered him for weeks, according to coach John Tortorella. Drury was not in the locker room at the Garden last night when reporters came in.

Erik Christensen, who told me earlier in the week that he would miss another week, is on the trip. He practiced today with Sean Avery and Mats Zuccarello. So Rangers have 12 forwards for tomorrow's matinee here in Montreal. Have not heard whether Kris Newbury will be recalled for Monday's game in Detroit.

Christensen has missed 16 games after spraining the MCL in his knee on Dec. 29 against the Devils.  He is 6-8-14 in 37 games.  No word on which defenseman will sit against the Canadiens.

Drury, 34, has played in 23 games, with no goals and four assists. He missed 31 games with a twice-broken left index finger.
