In the post-skate briefing, coach John Tortorella wouldn't confirm that Christain Thomas, 20, would make his Rangers debut tonight, but I'm just about certain that will happen.

Rick Nash was put on retroactive IR to make room for the young right wing, and Torts said that he hoped the "hard-working" Thomas, who was improving in the AHL, would bring "a spark".

Anyway, the line rushes were:

1. Pyatt-Richards-Gaborik, so that's a change, with Gaborik back with Richards and away from Hagelin and Stepan. Of course, these could change in the first period, but....

2. Hagelin-Stepan-Callahan

3. Kreider-Halpern-Miller,  a vet with the rookies. Halpern and Stepan have been the best centers in recent games.

4.  Mashinter-Boyle-TBA.  Have to assume that Thomas will be here on the right and perhaps on PP2. He will not have the benefit of a practice.
