Wade Redden will report to Hartford Wednesday
Redden will report to Hartford on Wednesday, his agent, Don Meehan, said in an email to Newsday a while ago. Not a major surprise; he still gets paid.
It is impossible to fathom that the Rangers will seek to recall the 33-year-old Redden, whose skills do not match his $6.5 million salary, which is now off the cap.
If another team claimed Redden on recall, the Rangers would split his salary and be charged accordingly for cap purposes.
